The sofa and its non-obvious functions

<p><strong>Sofas – relaxation experts. They give you respite after a hard day, they host you like best friends, they wrap you in comfort, making time stand still.</strong></p>

Work-life balance

Work-life balance

The moment we switch from stationary work to hybrid or completely remote work, we can decide under what conditions we work. The healthiest and most ergonomic way is at a desk, but moments spent with a laptop on an exceptionally comfortable sofy">sofa definitely make everyday life more pleasant.

Not so long ago, we separated home from work with a thick line. An office is an office, and the sofa - obviously - was used to relax after hours. And today? Today everything is mixed. We work from home, receive work e-mails between sips of morning coffee and... more and more often we treat the sofa as our second desk.

But don't worry - it doesn't mean we have to give up comfort. On the contrary. A good sofa can work wonders. It can be a place for creative brainstorming, quiet planning of the week, but also a momentary reset after a demanding call. When choosing a model, think about the backrest - will it support your back well when you change from the chair? Pay attention to the depth of the seat, the elasticity of the cushions and even the height of the sides, which work great as... a temporary desk for a laptop.

At Moma Studio you will find sofas that perfectly understand the realities of today's life - they combine comfort with functionality. Models from SITS, MTI Furninova or Innovation Living offer not only comfort, but also a style that fits your daily rhythm. Because work-life balance begins where a hard chair ends.

Hello, this is the base

Hello, this is the base

There are people who pace nervously around the room while talking on the phone. Others, however, look for a comfortable corner where a teleconference or video call could be more comfortable. Sofa is the perfect place. Stretch your legs on the chaise longue, prepare something to drink and go ahead and press the green receiver.

Each house has its own orbit. Kitchen? Bright. Bed? Also important. But the real center of the universe is the sofa. It is from it that we control our everyday life - with a remote control in one hand and coffee in the other. “Hello, this is the base!” – one would like to say, digging deeper into pillows.

A sofa is not just a piece of furniture. It's a vantage point from which you can see everything - children scattering blocks, a cat sneaking into the bowl, your partner preparing something delicious in the kitchen. This is a place where the family "does nothing" takes place, where you relax after the school of life that is every day. When necessary, it turns into a space station for watching Netflix, a communications office or a base for board game expedition.

When choosing a sofa for your home, it is worth thinking about how many roles it has to play. Modular sets from Normann Copenhagen or SITS can be freely configured - building your own, flexible base. A sofa that meets the needs of the entire crew? This is the only option.

Meeting point

Meeting point

Spending time at the table is often the initial part of meetings, but it is the couch that we move to rest and relax a bit. If your guests value a relaxed atmosphere during meetings, choose the largest possible sofa with plenty of pillows so that everyone can sit down the way they like best.

Guests come and go, but the sofa stays. And it is she who decides whether the evening with friends will end with laughter or back pain. Today, the sofa is a modern banquet table - the most important conversations, comfortable silences and long sessions with pizza gather around it.

More and more often we give up formal dining rooms in favor of open spaces where the sofa becomes the center of social life. Thoughtful, spacious and comfortable - it attracts people like a magnet. When choosing the right model, it is worth considering how many people you want to accommodate, whether you have room for poufs (great for small talk) and whether the upholstery will cope with an evening of wine and chips.

Brands such as Innovation Living or SITS understand perfectly that a sofa is not only form, but also function. The meeting place must be comfortable and beautiful. One that you want to come back to - and that you remember long after you leave.

Play these games with us

It is said that the experience depends on where you sit. Along these lines, choosing the best possible sofa is an extremely important issue. Fans of board games and card games will also appreciate the comfortable sofa. Modular sofas will accommodate all players, and corner sofas will allow you to focus around the table.

But it's not only a matter of ergonomics - it's also about style and atmosphere. Soft pillows, appropriate seat height and space for snacks are a must-have for every home board game room. Instead of being cramped at the kitchen table, we gain relaxation, comfort and space to laugh, compete and spend time together.

Moma Studio's offer includes models that perfectly fit this function - such as modular systems from SITSor Furninova, which can be freely configured to create the perfect meeting zone. Their neutral forms fit into any interior, and their solid workmanship means they will withstand many games of "Settlers" or "Uno". Because the best memories often begin with a comfortable... seating point.

Waking dream

Waking dream

Whoever has never fallen asleep while watching a movie or TV series should be the first to throw a pillow. The sofa lulls everyone who is tired to sleep, but it also provides additional space when someone enchanted in the evening decides to stay the night.

A sofa is not just a piece of furniture today - it is a multi-tasking everyday companion. In the evening it turns into a cozy bed, in the morning it becomes a place to stretch with a cup of coffee, and on the weekend - a refuge from the rush. When choosing a sofa with a sleeping function, do not give up on design. Models from SITS or Zanotta perfectly combine aesthetics with clever solutions - the unfolding mechanisms are invisible and the sleeping comfort is comparable to a full-fledged bed.

It is worth thinking about it not only as a place to rest, but also as a scene for everyday rituals - reading fairy tales to children, lazy naps, spontaneous guests and the morning "five more minutes". This is where the most interesting dreams happen - even with your eyes open. Because a daydream begins from the moment you immerse yourself in softness and forget about everything else.

Do you want your couch to become a home sleep haven? Take a look at our collection and choose a model that understands the need for relaxation.
